Laminitis (laminitis) is one of the most drastic conditions you can experience in a horse. It requires quick action, a thoughtful approach and, above all, a lot of patience.
Hazel entered Spain with severe laminitis and tilt. She was in visible pain and could barely walk. From the very first moment, a total plan was chosen that focused on comfort, relief and support.
The first step was sandy soil, as this is cooler and reduces the pressure on the hooves. This was followed by a sugar-free diet, and her hoof was trimmed back step by step towards a healthier position. To relieve her toe as much as possible, Hazel was additionally given heels. Her comfort was also continuously monitored and supported where necessary.
As additional support, Hazel received support with Unique CL20. In laminitis, processes such as circulation and metabolism a major role. Unique CL20 was developed to support, among other things, the liver function and includes milk thistle, an herb known for supporting the liver in processing waste products that can affect hoof problems through the bloodstream.
What we are now seeing in Hazel's recovery gives enormous hope. Her hoof is growing visibly faster and her comfort seems better under control. And the best moment: after 11 weeks let Hazel for the first time again a small trot see. Of course, we are not there yet, but the difference from the start is impressive.
Unique Equine Supplement was created from years of practical experience with horses in need of intensive care. With that knowledge, we also want to help other horse owners by developing targeted supplements that fit within an overall plan.

Note that laminitis is complex and always requires appropriate guidance. Every horse is different. Supplements are supportive and not a replacement for vet/hoof specialist.
