Stiffness

Horses can become stiffer in their movement, for example when starting up after rest, following exercise or in cold weather. It is regularly seen in older horses and sport horses, but stiffness can occur at any age.

Sometimes it is only temporary. If a horse remains stiff or if it keeps coming back, it is important to find out where it is coming from.

What happens when there is stiffness?

Stiffness is not a condition in itself, but a signal that can have various causes. Joints, muscles and connective tissue can all play a role.

For example, you might notice that your horse:

  • needs more time to get going;
  • moves shorter or less smoothly;
  • is stiffer after rest or exertion;
  • less easily bends or moves;
  • is less active than you are used to from him.

Persistent or sudden stiffness always warrants attention. Especially when there is also pain, lameness or clear changes in the movement pattern, it is wise to have the cause investigated.

What can Unique FX15 add?

Unique FX15 Mobility Booster has been developed for broad daily support of the musculoskeletal system:

  • Glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate fit within the nutritional support of cartilage and joints
  • Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in synovial fluid and connective tissue and fits within the support of fluid movement
  • MSM and collagen support the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue
  • L-Lysine is an essential amino acid and plays a role in protein synthesis and the maintenance of body tissue
  • Vitamin D3 supports the maintenance of strong bones and normal muscle function
  • Vitamin C and E provide antioxidant support
  • Flaxseed oil provides valuable fatty acids as part of the broad formula
  • Boswellia, turmeric and nettle enrich the formula with carefully selected plant-based ingredients

When it comes to stiffness, we prefer not to look at a single separate component. Joints, muscles and connective tissue work together to allow a horse to move freely and comfortably.

Therefore, FX15 can be used as daily support for mobility, flexibility and freedom of movement.

Because when movement becomes less of a given, the entire musculoskeletal system deserves attention.
